Using our massage services requires acceptance of the following policies.

Massage Times Unlike other places, massage times with Curative Hands are table times. So basically when you schedule a 90 minutes massage, you massage lasts for 90 minutes. Not 75 minutes with 15 minutes designated for preparing yourself for a massage. Arrivals When you schedule a mobile massage, plan on me being there at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage time so that I can prepare myself and the table. Cancellations Sometime life gets in the way of good things and I understand that, however, if you are going to be cancel please let me know at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Less than 24 hour notice will force me to charge you prior to me arriving next time. By scheduling, you agree to these policies. Confidentiality and Records Curative Hands is committed to protecting client privacy and confidentiality. No information is shared with third parties without your expressed permission, unless when required by law. No substitute for medical care Though there have been many studies showing the benefits of massage including it’s therapeutic effects on stress reduction, pain relief, and on many other ailments, massage therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment. Liability Waiver When scheduling your massage or other service, you must make me aware of your known medical conditions and physical limitations.  When scheduling a massage or other service, you agree that neither you, your heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against Ron Lauinger or Curative Hands, for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. There will be an ‘informed consent form’ provided to you at the beginning of each massage. Right to Refuse Service Ron Lauinger of Curative Hands reserves the right to refuse appointments or terminate treatment sessions for the following reasons: conditions or pathology are present for which massage is contraindicated, conditions or pathology outside of the therapist’s scope of work or skill set, poor hygiene, unhealthy environment including mess and smells, improper or lewd conduct,  intoxication, , or for any other reasons that compromise the integrity and safety of the client, gym, and myself. If you are a smoker I will not schedule. Informed Consent Prior to your massage, a treatment plan will be presented and discussed with you. On your first visit, you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with them. If I have not seen a client for at least six months, they will be asked to fill out the form again. Clients have the right to terminate their session at any time and for any reason. Existing and New Medical Conditions It is the responsibility of the client to keep me, the therapist, informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from your physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued. You must let me know of any known allergies regarding oils, lotions and fragrances. The client must keep me informed of any changes in their health conditions. Scope of Practice Massage Therapy is a profession in which I, the practitioner, may apply manual techniques, and may also apply adjunctive therapies with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. I do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor am I allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor’s supervision. I am required by law to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician. Respect, Clients needs and Personal Boundaries I am more than happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it, and time permits. You may choose to: remove as much clothing as your comfortable with, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time, and free to leave at any time. You will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be uncovered, unless you request otherwise. Professional Boundaries The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. Upper thigh, chest and abdominal areas can massaged if requested. Because the lower back, hip & the gluteal areas are important, they will be massaged unless you ask me not to work on them. These areas can be worked through the sheets if requested. I will not massage anyone under the age of 18. I do not accept male clients unless you were referred to me by someone I know. Personal Hygiene Because our daily lives exposes us to dirt, debris as well as the natural formation of bacteria, for your health and safety, and mine, please shower prior to your appointment. Sorry, if you smell I will refuse service. Smoking I reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who has a nicotine, or marijuana order in the area of massage or on their skin. Payment All sessions must be paid before or at the time of service. Valid forms of payment are: cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or Chase Bank.  Returns and refunds There are no refunds for massage or other treatments.
